Our Laser Hair Removal treatment uses a proprietary Skin Laundry laser to deliver high energy, infrared light beneath the skin’s surface to target melanin in the hair and cause controlled damage to the follicle. By damaging the hair follicle, the laser inhibits future unwanted hair growth. Safe and effective for all skin tones, the benefits of Laser Hair Removal are cumulative.

WHAT TO EXPECT
- Before your first appointment, you and your Skin Laundry expert will assess your skin and hair type and discuss your hair removal goals.
- We’ll take a photo (which will remain private) to help track your skin journey at Skin Laundry.
- After a cleanse, your Skin Laundry expert will apply a cool, water-based gel and begin the Laser treatment followed by an application of a customized medical-grade serum on the face or neck.
AFTERCARE
- Normal reactions include mild redness, swelling or a mild sunburn-like sensation on the treatment area for up to 24 hours.
- Avoid direct sun exposure and use a 30+ SPF on the treatment area.
- Avoid exercise, hot tubs, hot showers and saunas for 24-48 hours.
- Hair on the treatment may shed over the next 3 weeks as a natural part of the healing process. You may also experience stubble on the treatment area as part of the shedding process.
Treatment FAQ
Laser Hair Removal is most successful on those with lighter skin tones and dark or coarse hair. Clients with darker skin tones and light or fine hair may experience fewer results. Laser Hair Removal is not recommended for clients looking to target grey, white or blonde hair.
Laser Hair Removal can be combined with other Skin Laundry Facials. Your skincare provider will advise you on treatment timing and cadence to ensure the best results and avoid irritation.
Most clients see results a few weeks after their first Laser Hair Removal treatment, including shedding and a reduction in regrowth. However, multiple sessions are necessary for optimal and long-lasting results, as not all hair follicles are simultaneously in the anagen (growth) phase during which the treatment is most effective. Most clients require 6-8 sessions for the majority of hair follicles to be effectively treated and to see a permanent reduction in hair growth.
